2. What methods of payment do you accept?

At present we accept cash, cheques, postal orders, and payments made online through PayPal. Cheques must be presented a minimum of two weeks before the hire to allow the funds to clear, whilst cash or postal orders will be accepted on the day.

3. Do I have to pay a booking deposit?

Yes, a booking deposit of 30% is required to confirm your booking.

4. How many people will the camper sleep?

Our bay window camper will comfortably sleep 4 people with space for a further 2 people in the awning. There are seat belt facilities for 5 people.

Our split screen camper will sleep 2 people in the camper and 2 in the awning. There are seat belt facilities for 4 people.

5. Is insurance included in the price and are there any age restrictions?

Fully comprehensive insurance for one named driver is included in the price of the hire. The driver must be aged between 25 and 70 and hold a full UK driving licence. Drivers under 25 or over 70 may be added at a further cost.

6. When can I collect the camper and when do I have to bring it back?

The camper can be collected from 11am on the Saturday and must be returned by 4pm on the following Friday. This is to give us time to get the camper ready for the next booking. Shorter bookings will be advised at time of hire.

7. What do I need to bring?

Each driver must bring their full driving licence (both photo and paper parts if you have a new licence) and a utility bill as proof of their address. You will also need to bring your bedding, we recommend sleeping bags. Other than that you can bring what ever you like just remember that space is limited it is a camper after all.

8. What comes with the camper?

You will be provided with all cooking and cleaning utensils. A twin hob gas cooker and a sink with pumped water and a fridge or cool box depending on the camper. A disposable BBQ and table and chairs for alfresco dining. Also a drive away awning and a porter loo.

9. Where can I go?

That's pretty much up to you. There are many fantastic places to visit in the surrounding areas and there are no mileage constraints on the campers. However we prefer our campers to remain in the north of the country. If you want to go to the south coast we will happily recommend one of the many companies that are based there. Travel other than in the UK is currently not permitted.

10. Where can I camp?

Almost anywhere. Remember to respect people's privacy and land when choosing a site and always leave the place exactly as you found it. You can also use one of the many campsites around the country these generally have excellent amenities.

11. How fast do they go?

Campers are not designed to speed thorough the countryside, they will happily sit at 50mph allowing you to sit back and take in the views that surround you.

12. What are they like on fuel consumption?

As with all types of vehicles it depends how you drive them, but they can be quite thirsty in comparison to modern cars. However they love to cruise and will happily do around 8 miles to the pound.

13. Does it come with a full tank of petrol?

Yes it does and it should be returned with one at the end of the hire.

14. What if the camper breaks down?

All the campers are regularly serviced by a VW specialist mechanic, but in the unfortunate event of a break down all the campers have full AA cover. There is also a 24hr phone line so you can get in contact with us.

15. What's the heating like?

The campers are fully insulated which makes them nice and toasty, we can also provide a small independant heater in the colder months.

16. What are they like to drive?

Fun. Driving a camper makes you smile! These campers are over 30 years old so need to be treated with respect. They are not like driving a modern car, they need driving and getting places will take a lot longer than your used to. This should be taken into consideration when planning your route.

17. Do they have stereos?

Yes.   All campers come with a cd player with an ipod connection so you can bring your music with you. The campers also come with a dvd/games console.

18. Do I have to pay a security deposit on collection day?

Yes. A £150 cash deposit is required on the day of hire to cover any loss or damage to the camper or its contents whilst it is in your care. This will be refunded when the camper is returned.

19. What happens if I have to cancel?

If in the unfortunate event that you have to cancel the holiday that you have booked, then we will arrange a full refund if we are notified 21 days before the date of hire. If we are notified within 21 days of the hire date then the deposit paid on booking is unfortunately non refundable.

20. Where can I leave my car?

We can store your car for you whilst you are away although we are not responsible for its security but will do our best to ensure it stays safe.

21. Who else can drive the camper?

Each camper is insured for one named driver in the rental price. However, additional drivers may be added through the insurance company at an additional cost. Please contact us for further details.

22. Can I bring my dog?

Yes. Dogs are allowed but only with prior consent. Any damage to the camper by your dog is not covered by the insurance.
